One of my employees asked if instead of a dinner to commerate her service anniversary, if we could fish the Green River. Sandy is quite a fisherperson as I found out earlier this year in Boise ID during the Extreme Fishing experience.
After arriving in Salt lake City on Friday amidst rain, wind, hail, and lighting, the weather turned out fair on Saturday - just in time for fishing!
We went out in two boats with Sandy and George in one and Paul & I in the other.
Once again Trout Bum 2 provided a quality experience. Steve & Kenny were great hosts and put us all on the fish.
The river flow was down considerably from its normal 1400cfs to 800cfs which made for interesting fishing and boat handling as there were more rocks to contend with than usual.
All in all it was a beautiful day to be out in God's creation enjoying the magic of the tug tug tug of a trout on the end of a 9 foot rod.
Here's Paul enjoying the scenery.
Paul started the day of with a nice Green River brown.
I had to get busy and boated this fat rainbow before he got too far ahead.
(not that I'm competitive about fishing)
George hooked up right in front of the cameraman.
Don't lose him George!
Fish for supper?
Smile - you're on candid camera!
Another nice Green River Rainbow.
This was rare.
I caught two rainbows at once on a double nymph rig!
Sandy working in a Brown.
Pretty Fish!
This is the money shot.
I expect this to be in the Trout Bum Newsletter.
It was sure special to be on the Green with Paul.
I love you brother!
Eye of the Tiger
George & Sandy
It doesn't get much better than this.
Come to the Green River - The fishing is great!
