Bringing Home The Bacon

I love it when Tracy catches fish - especially keeper fish. I do however also like it when we both catch fish.

Thankfully, at least one of us caught something we could keep the first two trips out this year.



We caught several small fish including some flounder which are always a treat.

Tracy caught the only keeper trout which made a nice supper.


Two weeks later and it was nearly the same story - lots of small fish but this time she caught a keeper flounder. I'm glad someone in the family can put fish in the box!



I caught several fish including this little red with a lure stuck in his throat. I managed to extract it before releasing him but caught another with a jighead lodged so deep I just left it there.

We were fishing down the Diversion Channel in our usual spot across from the Redfish Hole at the mouth of a side creek.

We caught some small flounder and sheepshead using live shrimp.

I'm ready for warmer weather and higher tides!
