We took a trip to Lafayette to visit with Tracy's sister and her folks over the weekend. Since Monday was a holiday from work, I decided to head to Matagorda to see if I could pull supper from the surf.
I was greeted with a beautiful sunrise on the way down:
The morning looked ify as the thunderheads were already building.
These bottom-feeders were cruising the first "gut" or trough between the sandbars.
I got chased out by the rain but had a fun morning nonetheless.

It never rains on a fisherman, that must of just been some heavy dew.
You need to hook them up as bait on your BIG ROD and get that 5 oz sand weight BTB!
