I remember watching them during the summer growing up and we have been putting up a house or gourds for the seasonal travlers for several years.
Currently we have a two story commercial house on a 20ft pole and we have had the latest residents since late February. When we arrived home this afternoon from running errands I noticed one of the young birds had flown out the nest but was not quite strong enough to stay airborne for long. Pa and Ma Martin were plenty worried and kept a close eye on me as I took some pictures of Junior.

I left them alone for a while and before long Junior got rested up and took off. I hope to see him tomorrow up on the wires with Ma & Pa enjoying his new found freedom.
